On Sunday 7th October we held a open kata seminar in Blackpool with National Kata coaches Jonathan Mottram and Aimee Sell.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported- it was lovely meeting new people from other clubs and making new karate friends.
The turnout was fantastic with over 90 students travelling from Essex, Newcastle, London, Wales, Leicester, Yorkshire and Manchester to take part. With a lot of Musuko Karate Academy's students also super eager to attend it was a huge event and everyone had a fantastic day.
Children and adults alike enjoyed the challenge of new kata's and lots of our younger students were wowed training alongside a lot of the National England Kata Squad members.
It was an amazing day and there are already plans in place to host another event like this next year. Watch out for the date coming in the new year - with the fantastic feedback we received it's going to be another busy one!
