What an absolutely amazing time we all had on our very first MKA training weekend, the feedback has been incredible and we are already under pressure to arrange our next one!
A special thank you to Shihan Anne Hastings and Sensei Anthony Pendlebury for agreeing to come down and teach for us on the Saturday. Both guest Instructors along with our very own Sensei Simon Crowther held superb sections all day over the three groups training, and every student gained valuable skills to take forward in their karate.
Shihan Anne and Sensei Anthony both commented on what a fantastic club we are and what a brilliant bunch of students we have, along with Sensei Simon they also stated how much enthusiasm and effort everyone gave to all three sections.
A special mention must go to the younger students - 10 years and under Kyu grades, who were superb, behaved impeccably and trained with a smile on their faces all day! It was no easy task for Sensei Simon to choose two award winners from this section of mega talented kids.
Many thanks to Sensei Del Knowles for assisting each Sensei with this group of students, I know he really enjoyed seeing the little ones have such a great time!
All in all, it was a fantastic day of karate which was then followed by a brilliant evening socializing with family and friends, there was lots of laughter with great food and drink, and there were quite a few sore heads on the Sunday morning!!
Thank you to everyone - both students and families, who have given us such fantastic feedback on how much they thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the weekend- from the training hall to the caravans. Your kind comments and thanks are very much appreciated!
Lastly, but of course not least, we had our award winners. All the students were chosen for very different reasons - and to be perfectly honest each Sensei had a very difficult time choosing, the standard was very high but in the end the following students were chosen.
